Why Convert to ePublishing?
The writing's on the wall - or should we say screen! Here are the top six reasons to ePublish:
- It will save you $$$, as ePublishing is considerably less expensive than hard copy printing.
- eReadership is increasing exponentially. Amazon earlier announced that for the first time ever they sold more eBooks than physical books.
- It's an easy way to test drive your book without a lot of out-of-pocket expense.
- 4. Younger readers preferring to glean information using electronic devices.
- 5. Any author or publisher that doesn't have eBook availability for their manuscripts is likely losing a significant amount of retail sales.
- 6. eBooks are environmentally friendly - keep the earth green!
But don't take our word for it. Megan Wood, author of
Ditch the Paper: Publishing market adapts to rise of e-books offers a multitude of reasons:
Chicago author of seven books and a short story series, Libby Fischer Hellmann entered the e-book industry knowing her prevalence would determine her future as an author.
“There isn’t any choice anymore [to enter the e-book industry]. You have to want your books to stick around,” Fischer Hellmann said. She now owns the rights to most of her e-book formats so she can receive the full royalty. As the technology evolves, authors and publishers must either adapt to the new format or ignore an industry that is proving to be a fair competitor of print.
